(BCN) -- A young mountain lion was found dead on a road near the North Coyote Valley Conservation Area in San Jose, according to the Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority. The lifeless feline was discovered along Santa Teresa Boulevard, according to a social media post Wednesday by the authority, which also called on drivers to drive with caution while traversing the thoroughfare: "When driving, remember to SLOW DOWN for wildlife and help reduce this kind of incident." (KRON) -- Martina Animal Rescue in Benicia is asking the community to adopt its dogs before the end of the month. For the past six years, the animal rescue has been saving dogs from the Contra Costa Animal Shelter's weekly euthanasia list. Martina Animal Rescue currently has 25 dogs in boarding and are set to run out of funds at the end of July.
