NEW YORK (AP) — James McCaffrey, who voiced “Max Payne” in the popular video game franchise and also starred in television shows including “Rescue Me,” has died, according to his agent. NEWARK — A person killed Sunday when his car crashed on Highway 84 was identified by the coroner’s office Tuesday as a 29-year-old Hayward man.The crash happened about 1:30 p.m. Sunday on westbound Highway 84 east of Ardenwood Boulevard. (KRON) – Four women accused of theft were detained by the Colma Police Department on Friday. Colma officers were dispatched to a business in the 5000 block of Junipero Serra Boulevard on a report of a theft in progress at 9:06 p.m. on Dec. 15. According to police, officers were informed that four women were exiting the business after stealing merchandise. Hundreds of drug dealers arrested in SF six-month crackdown Upon arrival, officers contacted the four women as they were leaving with the stolen merchandise. The women were positively identified by the business’ loss prevention as the individuals who were stealing, police said. (KRON) -- Following a week in which there have been at least three deadly crashes on Bay Area highways, the California Highway Patrol's Maximum Enforcement Period (MEP) is set to begin. The CHP's annual Christmas Day Maximum Enforcement Period gets underway this Friday, Dec. 22 and continues through 11:59 a.m. Monday, Dec. 25."This annual enforcement initiative aims to enhance the safety of the public on California's roads during the busy travel period," the CHP said in a news release.The primary focus for the MEP will be speed enforcement, but CHP officers will also be extra vigilant for impaired drivers. A D.C. man was arrested Monday for shooting and killing two brothers after a verbal altercation last week.Two brothers, 28-year-old Octavio Quintano and 35-year-old Osmine Quintano were found shot to death behind an SUV on 4th Street in Northeast just after midnight on Dec. 12, according to D.C. police and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for D.C.On Saturday, 24-year-old Ronzoni Jackson, Jr., called 911 and said that he is “wanted for murder,” according to court documents.Documents show that in call transcript, Jackson said he was drunk and didn’t remember why he shot the men.
