LAS VEGAS — Jim Marchant, a Nevada Republican who led a movement of candidates who promoted Donald Trump’s lies of a stolen 2020 election, announced Tuesday that he will run for the U.S. Senate against Democratic incumbent Jacky Rosen in the swing state. The entrance of Marchant, who lost last year’s race for Nevada secretary of state, may be another headache for national Republicans who are trying to prevent a repeat of the midterms, when voters in Nevada and other battleground states rejected candidates who ran on election conspiracies, allowing Democrats to increase their hold on the Senate.Nevada is likely to be one of the nation’s most competitive Senate races again next year. In the closest contest of 2022, Democratic incumbent Catherine Cortez Masto won a narrow victory over another high-profile election denier, Adam Laxalt.Marchant, 66, has been a fierce supporter of Trump and describes himself as a “MAGA conservative.” He’s the first major Repub...Steph Curry, Klay Thompson to team up in golf outing against Mahomes, Kelce

One of the best, edgiest, Marvel Cinematic Universe movies arrives this week, along with two great series — “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story” and Silo” — along with a provocative drama that addresses xenophobia. Here’s our roundup.“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”: James Gunn saved his best for last. The conclusion of the filmmaker’s absurdly entertaining trilogy featuring a ragtag team of superhero chums not only wrecked me; it scarred me more than “Bambi” did. It’s also one of the best MCU movies I’ve seen. Period. A word of advice, though, this finale is way too disturbing and nightmare-inducing for kids and might well be too much for devoted animal lovers.Gunn gives us an origin story about Rocket Raccoon (voice of Bradley Cooper), the wisecracking mammal with a genius IQ, plenty of attitude and a traumatic background. What prompts this look back are the out-of-control actions of golden boy messenger Adam Warlock (Will Poulter), who put...Palo Alto residential burglary interrupted by resident, suspects at large
